Our nurses are spread across our sites throughout the country. One of them is Cygnet Hospital Beckton in East London. Beckton has four different specialist wards including mental health with learning disability, personality disorder and PICU.

The team are busy, and it’s challenging, but the whole team are committed to supporting everyone to ensure we provide the best care to our service users.

We spoke to Awa, Clinical Services Manager at Beckton, about what it takes to be a nurse at Beckton, her motivation to do a challenging job, and what support for nurses looks like at Beckton.
